What is this Pain Massage Oil?

Our Pain Massage Oil is a traditional Kerala Ayurvedic blend prepared in the classical slow-cook (paka) method — a combination of warming herbs infused into a base of pure coconut and sesame oil. Designed for daily external application on areas of muscle tension, stiff joints, back pain, shoulder tension, and general body aches. A staple in Kerala households for generations.

Traditional preparation

The herbs are first cleaned, crushed, and boiled with water to extract their active compounds. This herbal decoction is then slow-simmered with the base oil for 24-72 hours until the water fully evaporates, leaving a rich, deep-coloured oil infused with the herbal essences. This slow-cook method is the hallmark of classical Kerala Ayurveda — no shortcuts, no heat damage to the active compounds.

How to use

  1. Warm a small quantity (5-10 ml) between palms or in a steel container
  2. Apply to the affected area — back, shoulders, knees, calves, feet
  3. Massage with gentle circular motions for 5-10 minutes
  4. For best results, apply at night and leave on overnight
  5. In the morning, rinse off with warm water and a mild cleanser
  6. Regular use (daily or alternate days) gives best traditional results
